The largest biodiversity project of its kind, Wild for Taranaki sets the stage for a thriving community.
Wild for Taranaki is the identity of the Taranaki Biodiversity Trust, which was established in 2015 by groups and organisations involved in the protection of native plants, animals and ecosystems in Taranaki. With a vision of eradicating predators and pests from the region by 2050, the Trust has committed to a significant biodiversity project of a scale unseen before in New Zealand.
With a project of this size, and over such a long time frame, there is a need to introduce the plan to the community to gain their support as well as generate the funding necessary to deliver the programmes necessary to see it succeed.
Giblin Group has been engaged to deliver these two significant work streams through the development of a Community Engagement and Communications Strategy as well as a Revenue Generation Strategy.
To date, stakeholder workshops have provided valuable insight and over the next few months we look forward to seeing the results of our combined plans come to fruition around this fantastic project.
