Long-term sports park development set to become hub for community well being – Fraser Park Sportsville, Lower Hutt
Part of creating a thriving community is building a healthy community and a key component of this is easy access to sports facilities. This resonated with Giblin Group, who took it to heart to help Hutt City Council (HCC) to reach their vision for Fraser Park Sportsville (FPS).
The vision is for a facility which will not only serve established clubs but it will achieve much broader objectives in a community that will help to be a catalyst for positive community outcomes.
Giblin Group was bought in by HCC to create a Revenue Generation Strategy that would map out the entire seven year and three stage project, and beyond, to maximise opportunities and ensure that funders are involved in the project well beyond opening day.
The Revenue Generation Strategy created by Giblin Group outlines cost effective community engagement strategies, tailored to the Hutt City community. It identifies that winning the hearts and minds of the broader community is essential to successfully funding the project.
The strategy emphasises that a coordinated approach to trust funding provides a solid base to secure revenue from multiple trusts. This is achieved through establishing key relationships, understanding the needs of trusts, and being able to show the value the trust funding will provide to the community at a variety of levels.
This strategy provided a framework for capturing revenue from a diverse range of sources through a targeted, collaborative and sustainable approach.
